Description

🕉️ What is Hanuman Utsav?

Hanuman Utsav, also known as Hanuman Jayanti, is the celebration of the birth of Lord Hanuman—the greatest devotee of Lord Shri Ram.

He represents:

  • Bhakti (Devotion)
  • Shakti (Strength)
  • Seva (Selfless Service)
  • Nishtha (Loyalty & Discipline)

In Sanatan Dharm, we don’t just celebrate birthdays—we honour gun (qualities).

Hanuman Ji teaches us:

  • Serve Dharma without ego
  • Stay strong in कठिन समय (tough times)
  • Keep mind, body, and actions pure
  • True power comes from devotion, not pride

👉 Simple truth:
Be powerful like Hanuman, but humble like his devotion to Ram.

📖 Importance of Hanuman Chalisa

The Hanuman Chalisa is a 40-verse prayer that:

  • Removes fear and negativity
  • Builds inner strength
  • Connects you directly with Hanuman Ji’s energy

Hanuman Utsav, also known as Hanuman Jayanti, is a sacred festival in Sanatan Dharm that celebrates the birth of Lord Hanuman, the greatest devotee of Lord Shri Ram. Hanuman Ji is worshipped as a symbol of strength, devotion, courage, and selfless service. His life teaches us how to live with discipline, humility, and unwavering faith in Dharma.

We celebrate this day not just as a birth anniversary, but to honour the qualities (gun) that Hanuman Ji represents. In Sanatan Dharm, the focus is always on becoming better human beings. Hanuman Ji shows us that true power comes from devotion, not ego. He teaches us to stay strong in difficult times, serve others without expecting anything in return, and remain loyal to truth and righteousness.

Hanuman Jayanti is observed on the Purnima (15th day) of Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra, which usually falls around April. On this day, devotees gather in temples and homes to offer prayers and express their devotion. Many people observe a fast, while others take part in spiritual activities with full श्रद्धा (faith).

The celebrations include Hanuman Chalisa Path, often recited multiple times, along with Sundar Kand Paath, bhajans, and aarti. Devotees offer prasad such as ladoos and boondi, and some apply chola (sindoor mixed with oil) to Hanuman Ji as a mark of devotion. Temples are beautifully decorated, and the atmosphere is filled with bhakti and positive energy.

The Hanuman Chalisa, a powerful 40-verse prayer, holds special importance on this day. It is believed to remove fear, bring strength, and protect devotees from negative influences. Reciting it with faith helps build inner courage and peace of mind.

In simple terms, Hanuman Utsav reminds us of a powerful message:
Be strong, stay humble, and live with devotion.
